Beijing: Tiananmen (Gate of Heavenly Peace, the symbol of the China's history, culture and politics, the portrait at the middle of the gate is Chairman Mao, the founder of the People's Republic of China (PRC). On October 1, 1949, he stand at the podium of the gate to proclaim the foundations of PRC.

Weifang: Downtown Weifang, all high-rise buildings were build within last 10 years, the only remaining old-town 20 years ago is the few houses left at the middle of the photo.   Weifang: A Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) restaurant at downtown Weifang, it was unimaginable even 10 years ago.

 

 
Tianjin: Symbol of American culture: Wal-Marts and KFC are everywhere in China, like this one at Tianjin, China. it sounds strange but there's dozen Wal-Mart superstores in China, selling item generally better then their stories in U.S.--some even high end products from Europe and Japan.   Shenzhen: Beside super-stories, Wal-Mart also running dozen "neighbourhood market" across China, just like this one in downtown Shenzhen, store is cleanear and selling items better then their counterparts in U.S. Howeverm Wal-Mart is just the small part of the U.S. retail giant in China, many other European and Taiwanese chains are across China as well.

 

   
Shenzhen: The model shown an typical American-owned factory in China--from right, the first building is office and research center, the long building is assembly plant, the tall building at far left is workers dormitory.    

 

 
Shenzhen: At the sweetmeat, you can buy 3-pieces of brand-name foreign-export underwear for 10 yuan ($1.25 USD).   Shenzhen: At the so-called "computer market" in Shenzhen, within this 1/4 miles strips there's dozen shopping malls and office buildings represents hundreds of electronic and computer-hardware related companies, selling billions of dollars of items to all around the World annually.

 

 
Hong Kong: Currently there's over hundred thousands Philippno maids working at Hong Kong.
