Daily killings by U.S. troops in "self-defense"
or arresting "bad guys" is very common in Iraq. The violence is
widespread with an approximate 2,000 street killings (not related
to the U.S. troops) in Baghdad in the first three months since end
of the major battle in April.
On July 23rd noon, the U.S. troops from 1st Battalion 16th division
shot and killed a suspect in a side street at Baghdad's Karada district.
The dead body still lies on the ground with white cloth (middle
left). The neighbor says the victim was theief who killed someone
before and they are happy that he's gone. However they also express
that the U.S. troops are "bad guys" as well, and wish for them to
leave the country soon.
