A machine gunner from U.S. military police (1st Battalion 37th Armored Regiment) sits at the top of the Humvee vehicle during a routine street patrol in Baghdad. The non-stop daily ambushes and attacks against U.S. forces in Iraq have mostly happened during these patrols. This has put everyone in tense moods during their missions. Just the next day, on July 21, an ambush killed a solider and his traslator, and destroyed two Humvees from the same base.
