Panda Aid 熊猫支援 - Appeal to Support Our September, 2024 Gaza Humanitarian Mission!
Panda Aid (www.PandaAid.org http://www.immigrantsolidarity.org/PandaAid/index.html) is an organization initiated by grassroots Chinese activists and organizations from China and the United States; based in Shanghai, China we aim to build a Chinese-run global grassroots humanitarianism operation, to spread voices for China to the world.
We ‘re planning our third 6- days humanitarian mission to Egypt between September 14 to September 19, 2024.
Our goal of this trip:
1) Gaza Refugee Center in Cairo:
Project description: Network for Palestine is an organization established to support Gaza refugees stranded in Egypt. They have their own relief center to receive and distribute daily necessities to refugees. During our second trip in June, we organized a donation run. We’ll continue organize donations to support their work, daily necessities, including: tableware, furniture, refrigerators, simple medicines, etc.
2) Medical Tents in Gaza
Project Introduction: Since April after Rafah crossing was closed, it has become very difficult and costly for relief supplies to enter Gaza. We’re currently talking with trusted organizations, NGOs and personal Gazan friends, looking to build a trusted team in Gaza to cooperate. In order donating funds to build medical tents or medical supplies, and operate behalf of Panda Aid.
3) Panda Aid Field Operation in Gaza
A long-term goal, after our successful implementation of medical tent project in Gaza, we want explore the possibility to setup our team in Gaza. For our September mission to Egypt, we would like to meet with staffs from local United Nations organizations, WHO, UNHCR, Red Cross/Red Crescent and other NGOs to discuss future cooperation.
